VENEERS

What are veneers?

Veneers are a thin shell of porcelain that are bonded onto your teeth.  Veneers involve removing a small amount of tooth structure before the bonding process can begin.

Veneers or crowns?

Veneers are used for minor aesthetic corrections, covering the front surface of the anterior teeth. Whereas, crowns cover the entirety of the tooth and are used instead of large restorations, giving more protection.

Maintaining your veneers

You need to brush and floss around veneers just like your natural teeth and maintain regular 6 monthly dental check ups.

Care for your veneers by not biting your nails, chewing on pens or ice as this will damage your veneers.

Patients that clench or grind their teeth can also fracture veneers or chip edges. These patients need to wear a protective splint for sleeping.
